Revolving Rain Gun

System Components
What a rain gun system needs.
Rain guns need higher operating pressure than mini sprinklers — system design must match the pump, pipe sizing and gun selection to ensure correct pressure at the nozzle.
High-pressure centrifugal pump
Rain guns require 3.5–7.0 kg/cm² operating pressure — a higher-head pump than mini sprinklers. Matched to the gun's flow demand.
PVC / HDPE main pipe
Rigid main pipe from the pump to the field. Sized for the gun's flow rate to keep velocity within 1.5 m/s.
Aluminium / PVC laterals
Portable laterals that carry water to the gun riser. Aluminium is preferred for frequent shifting.
Rain gun riser (trolley / stand)
Elevates the gun above crop canopy — typically 1–2 m height. Trolley-mounted guns are easy to reposition.
Pressure regulator / gauge
Maintains operating pressure within the gun's specification range — critical for uniform throw and rotation speed.
Quick-couple fittings
Fast-connect laterals and risers for efficient shifting across the field without tools.
