Steel borewell casing rusts from the outside in — eventually contaminating the water supply. PVC casing is inert, smooth-walled and dimensionally stable across the temperature range seen in Indian groundwater conditions.

From drilling to development.
Bore drilling
Rotary or DTH drilling to the required depth and diameter — slightly larger than the casing OD to allow grouting.
Casing lowering
PVC casing lengths are threaded together and lowered into the drilled bore in sequence — lightweight PVC makes this a quick operation.
Screened section
Slotted casing placed at the aquifer zone allows water to enter while keeping sediment out.
Grouting & development
Annular space between casing and bore wall is grouted to prevent surface contamination. The well is then developed by pumping.
